Sim Racing Telemetry - F1 2020 For Mac

The SIM Dashboard Server application should already be installed.
The application supports you with an automatic configuration feature which can enable telemetry of F1 2020 easily. More on that in the following tutorial. In case of Problems you can also do the configuration manually which is described at the end of this page.

Make sure to NOT activate the Broadcast mode in the in-game telemetry settings and run the SIM Dashboard Server PC Application simultaneously. Otherwise the Android app cannot work (and even crash), as it receives the data from the game AND the PC application twice. If you like to forward the telemetry data to another application have a look on this help page.

Exporting data is simple: open a telemetry session and press the 'Share' icon, select the 'Export to CSV' option and send/save the file. Saving CSV files could require few minutes and could result in big files, so be patient when exporting them. V1.6.0 is available on all the supported platforms: PC, Mac. FAQ

If you are running F1 2020 with one of the UDP compatibility formats (2019, 2018, Legacy):In the My Team Mode no(!) data is provided by the Game if running in compatibility mode, becuase the old protocols only support 20 Drivers. The My Team Mode requires 22 Drivers, so the F1 2020 Format is required.

This is no limitation of the App.Official comment by Codemasters:My Team allows an extra team to race – this means that all the places in the packets where 20 cars were used, 22 are now needed. N.B. this will not be fixed in old formats (2019, 2018, legacy) – if you are in the “My Team” career mode with any format other than 2020 specified, no data will be output. All other game modes will function as before

The game does not provide your name.

  • In F1 2019 no Driver names were available in Multiplayer sessions, due to privacy concerns on the Playstation and Xbox Platform
  • In F1 2020 Basic Support for Multiplayer Names is available

What does Basic Support mean?

The game still does not provide names directly during a Race (Great would be: Driver 1 is called TZdriver1, Driver 2 is called LulGforce. Unfortunately that is not provided.).

Instead it provides the names of all Drivers while you are in the Multiplayer Lobby.
Ok, so where is the problem?
The problem is that there is only a list of driver names with their nationality and the selected team, but no information which driver is driving which car..
  • As long as the two drivers in one Team have a different nationality the app can guess who of those two is driving which car
  • If the two drivers in one Team have the same nationality the app cannot know who is who, so the driver name of the cars of that team will be shown as L. Hamilton and V. Bottas or whoever are the original Drivers of that Team's Cars
You can still tap on the driver name to change it manually.
